Victoria College of Music, London was founded in 1890 by Dr J H Lewis DCL FEIS MusD and have provided a system of examinations in Music, Speech & Drama ever since.

Victoria College Examinations are administered by a private limited company: Victoria College of Music and Drama, London Ltd.  Registered in England and Wales, the company is limited by shares.  The Company uses a number of trading names including: VCM; Victoria College Exams; Victoria College Examinations; London Music Press; College of Violinists SpeechPower; and RockPower.

There is a Governing Council all of whose members are directors of Victoria College of Music and Drama, London Ltd.
